Privacy policy

What we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have.

Draft: not yet reviewed by a lawyer.

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Who this covers

This policy covers our sports coaching job websites, our phone app and the emails and messages we send (together, "the service"). "We" and "us" mean the people who run the service. "You" means anyone who visits or uses it: coaches, employers and visitors.

The service is for people in the United States.

The short version

  • We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. There are no ads and no advertising or analytics trackers on our sites.
  • If you upload a résumé, we keep the file and its text, and we use them for your own features.
  • If you upload a résumé and your profile is complete, employers can find you in our coach directory. You can hide your profile at any time, and we never list you again on our own after you hide.
  • You can delete your account at any time in your settings.

What we collect from you

  • Your account: your email address, your name, and how you sign in (Google, Apple, or a code we email you). We have no passwords for you.
  • Your confirmation that you are 18 or older and agree to our terms, with when you confirmed and which version of the terms it was.
  • Where you came from: the site you signed up on and, when there is one, the link or campaign that brought you.
  • Your coach profile: what you choose to add, such as your headline, sports, certifications, experience, home area, availability, the pay you want and, if you add it, a phone number. If you use discreet mode, the employers and websites you want to hide from.
  • Your résumé: the file you upload (PDF or Word) and the text we read from it.
  • Your activity: jobs you save, applications you track or send through us and your answers to an employer's questions, invitations from employers, drafts you save, and, if you have Coach Pro, your saved searches.
  • Your notification settings, the push token of your phone if you allow notifications, and, if you link Telegram, your Telegram chat and first name.
  • For employers: your name and work email, your organization's details and logo, your team members, the jobs you post or claim, your applicants, your invitations, and your searches and views in the coach directory.
  • Payments: what you bought and when, and the customer and subscription numbers our payment provider gives us. Your card details go to our payment provider, Stripe, and never reach us.
  • Messages to us: what you send us, such as a removal request or a support email.

We do not ask for your date of birth, gender, race or other protected traits, and we never filter jobs or coaches by them.

What we collect automatically

  • Usage events: which pages or app screens are used, searches (but not the words you type), the kind of device (web, iPhone or Android) and the app version. These are linked to a random ID, and to your account once you sign in.
  • How your account uses job listings: which jobs it views, and how many it views each day.
  • Signals from your connection and device: a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, and details of your device and browser, such as their type and version and signs that a program, not a person, is using the service. Our own app stores only this scrambled form, not your IP address itself.
  • Our hosting and security providers (Vercel, Supabase and Cloudflare) see your IP address and browser details when you visit, and keep them in their own short-term logs to run and protect the service.

How we watch for abuse

We watch how accounts and devices use the service, to keep it safe and to find and stop abuse, such as scraping, bulk copying of our listings and shared accounts. For this we use the job views, connection and device signals described above.

Some of this is automatic. For example, each account can open only a set number of full job details a day, and an account that views an unusually large number of jobs is flagged to our team.

We may act on what these records show, including by limiting, suspending or ending an account, as our terms of use explain.

Terms of use

Cookies

We set only our own cookies. We use no advertising or analytics cookies or trackers.

  • jb_aid: a random ID for our own usage counts (1 year).
  • jb_attr: the site and link that first brought you here (90 days).
  • jb_visit: when you last visited, to show which jobs are new (1 year).
  • Sign-in cookies, which keep you signed in on that site.

Some of our forms use a bot check from Cloudflare (Turnstile). It runs Cloudflare's script in your browser, and Cloudflare handles what it collects under its own privacy terms.

Your résumé

When you upload a résumé, we keep the original file and the text we read from it. We keep them until you delete the résumé or your account.

We use them for your own features: to fill in your profile, to help you draft applications, and for other features we build for you, such as matching you with jobs or formatting your résumé.

The file is stored privately. Only you can open it, plus an employer in three cases: you applied to that employer's job with it, you accepted that employer's invitation, or you are in the coach directory and turned on "Employers can open my résumé file". Employers get a link that works for a few minutes, and we log every one.

AI reads your résumé only after you agree to it. You can withdraw that in your settings, and we then delete what AI wrote about your résumé. Drafts you already saved on your applications stay yours.

Account settings

The coach directory

The coach directory lets employers with directory access find coaches. If you upload a résumé and your profile is complete, you are listed there by default. If your profile is not complete, you are not listed.

You can hide your profile at any time in your directory settings. If you hide it, we never list you again on our own. Only you can turn it back on.

What employers see in the directory: your first name and last initial, headline, sports, certifications, home area, availability and experience. They never see your email address or phone number there. They can contact you only by sending an invitation, and your contact details go to them only if you accept.

Employers can search the directory by skills, certifications, roles and sports found in your profile and résumé, never by your name or contact details. Search results never show your résumé text.

Discreet mode lets you hide from your current employer, its related clubs, and any employers or websites you list. To them, you do not appear at all.

Jobs we list and people named in them

We gather coaching jobs from employer websites, job boards and job feeds. We show the facts (such as title, place, pay and requirements), a short summary we write ourselves, and a link to the original posting. We do not copy job descriptions.

Some details, such as the employer, contact person and how to apply, are shown only to Coach Pro members, the job's own employer, and coaches who applied while on Coach Pro.

We keep the original posting text privately, only to process it, and delete it 90 days after the job closes.

If a job on our site is yours, is wrong, or shares private information about you, ask us to remove it. We aim to act within 1 business day of a confirmed request, and that posting does not come back.

How we use your data

  • To run the service: your account, job search, saved jobs, applications, invitations and the directory.
  • To send what you asked for: account emails, the weekly email of new jobs, and, with Coach Pro, job alerts by email, push or Telegram.
  • For AI features you turn on, such as help applying.
  • To take payments and keep billing records.
  • To keep the service safe: limits, checks for fraud and abuse (such as scraping, bulk copying and shared accounts), acting on what we find, and fixing problems.
  • To understand how the service is used and improve it.
  • To follow the law and answer valid legal requests.

AI

We use AI services to read and summarize job postings and, only if you agree, to read your résumé and profile for your features.

We send your personal data only to the AI providers and models we have approved for personal data in our settings, and only to ones whose terms do not let them train their models on it. Today these may be Google (Gemini), OpenAI, Anthropic, Ollama and OpenRouter. Which one handles each task is set by us and can change.

AI writes drafts only. We never send an application for you. You decide what to send and you send it yourself.

AI and your résumé

If you agree, AI reads your résumé and profile to fill in your profile, draft applications and suggest jobs for you. The AI provider gets the text only to give us an answer. It may keep it for a short time under its own terms, for example to check for abuse, but it may not use it to train its models.

You can withdraw your agreement at any time in your settings. AI then stops reading your résumé.

Account settings

Sensitive details in your résumé

Please leave sensitive details out of your résumé and profile, such as your date of birth, Social Security number, health information, or your race or religion. We do not need them, and employers you share your résumé with can see what it contains.

Who we share data with

  • Employers, when you apply to their job through us, accept their invitation, or are in the directory (as described above).
  • Service providers that run parts of the service for us (listed below). They may use your data only to provide their service to us.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect people or the service.
  • A buyer or successor, if the service is sold or merged. This policy would still apply to your data.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

When an employer receives your application, accepts or sends an invitation, or views your directory profile or résumé, it may keep its own copy under its own policies. Hiding your profile or deleting your account stops new sharing, but it does not delete copies employers already have.

Our service providers

  • Supabase: our database, sign-in and file storage.
  • Vercel: hosts our websites.
  • Resend: sends our emails.
  • Stripe: takes payments.
  • Expo, with Apple's and Google's notification services: sends phone notifications.
  • Telegram: sends alerts, only if you link it.
  • Google and Apple: sign-in, if you choose them.
  • Cloudflare: the bot check on some forms.
  • AI providers: Google (Gemini), OpenAI, Anthropic, Ollama and OpenRouter. Which ones we use for each task can change, within the limits in the "AI" section.

Emails and notifications

Account and security emails, such as sign-in codes, always arrive. Every other email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can change all of them in your notification settings.

Messages from employers (paid job emails and pushes) go only to coaches who turned them on. They are off unless you turn them on.

Push notifications never show an employer's name, because lock screens are public.

Your choices

  • See and change your profile and settings at any time.
  • Hide from the coach directory, or use discreet mode.
  • Withdraw your agreement for AI to read your résumé.
  • Delete your résumé.
  • Change or stop your emails, pushes and Telegram alerts.
  • Delete your account.
  • Ask for a copy of your data. A download button is coming. Until then, contact us and we will send it to you.

Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under your state's law, such as the right to correct your data. Contact us to use them. We answer within 30 days.

Account settings

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in your settings. For your safety, we ask you to sign in again first.

Right away, you are signed out, removed from the coach directory, and your alerts stop. A paid plan bought on our website stops renewing.

Within 7 days, we delete your account, profile, résumé files and text, saved jobs and searches, alerts and phone links. Those days let us undo a mistake if you contact us.

Some records stay after that: billing records we must keep for taxes; applications you sent, which the employer keeps, shown as from a "Deleted coach" and without your answers or résumé; records of your unsubscribes, so we never email you by mistake; and removal requests, as proof we acted.

If you are an employer owner, make someone else the owner or close your organization first. Jobs your organization posted stay as business records.

How long we keep data

  • Your account, profile, résumé and saved items: until you delete them or your account.
  • Applications: kept while the employer needs them for its hiring records, and no longer than 3 years after the job closes. Then we delete them or remove what identifies you.
  • Usage events: about 13 months.
  • Records of which jobs an account viewed each day: a limited time, then we delete them.
  • Original job posting text: 90 days after the job closes.
  • Removal requests: 3 years.
  • Billing records: as long as tax law requires.

Security

We protect your data with sign-in without passwords, private file storage, short-lived file links, strict limits on who can read what, and logs of sensitive actions. No service is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that your data will never be exposed. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Age

You must be 18 or older to use the service, and you confirm this when you sign up. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If we learn that we have, we close the account and delete the data.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we tell you by email or on the site before it applies.
